Walk With a Doc runs a monthly group walk with medical company along the Marginal, the seafront promenade of Praia da Vitória on Terceira, between the end of October and late December. The pace is relaxed and the point is as much the conversation as the exercise: participants swap experiences and can put health questions to the doctors on the walk. Places are arranged by email (wwadterceira@gmail.com), which is also where the dates of each walk come from.
Practical information
The Marginal is the seafront of Praia da Vitória town, on the east coast of Terceira; the exact meeting point comes with registration.
In bad weather the walk moves indoors to the Pavilhão do Porto Martins.
