Noite Negra is a Halloween street party on Rua de São João in Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, on the night of 31 October running into 1 November. The street's bars organise it, backed by the city council and Angra's chamber of commerce, and DJ ADRIX and DJ CRISTIANO play. Costumes are expected rather than optional. It is a night out among locals in the old town, so come for the atmosphere and the bars rather than a staged show.

Practical information

Rua de São João is in the historic centre of Angra do Heroísmo on Terceira, within walking distance of most hotels in town. Parking in the old centre is tight on a busy night; a taxi back is easier.

It is a street event; in heavy rain the party is likely to stay inside the bars along the street.
