Tickets and details at the source

"As folhas que guardam" is this autumn's Document of the Month display at the Biblioteca Pública e Arquivo Regional Luís da Silva Ribeiro in Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, open from 2 November to 31 December 2026. The subject is the endpaper: the sheet glued inside the front and back of a bound volume. The display explains what endpapers protect and hold together, then lets the decoration speak, because the patterns are also evidence that help date a book and trace the workshop that bound it. It is a quiet, specialist show rather than a big exhibition, best for anyone who likes old books, printing or paper craft, and an easy stop if you are already in Angra.

Practical information

The library is at Rua do Morrão 42 in Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira. If you are staying in Angra you can walk there; the listing gives no parking details.
