Butane gas price in the Azores rises from 1 November
Households in the islands pay more for bottled gas again. Chega/Açores asks the Regional Government to look at measures on the cost of essentials.
The price of butane gas in the Azores goes up from Sunday, 1 November. A 13-kilogram cylinder will cost about 28.59 euros, more than five euros above the previous month, according to a press release from Chega/Açores.
The party said it was concerned about the effect of successive gas price rises on family budgets in the islands.
José Pacheco, Chega's parliamentary and party leader in the Azores, said the Regional Government should assess measures to soften the impact of rising prices of essential goods on household income.
In September this site reported that PCP/Açores warned of higher electricity and fuel costs from October 1.
