On Sunday 1 November the Arquipélago arts centre on São Miguel closes its exhibition "O Silêncio de Hefesto" with an afternoon programme. At 14:30 Vera Carmo leads a guided visit through the show; at 16:30 the centre screens Jorge Silva Melo's documentary "Ana Vieira: e o que não é visto", introduced by Maria Emanuel Albergaria. Entry is free while seats last, but the guided visit has to be booked in advance by email to arquipelagocentrodeartes@azores.gov.pt. Worth it if you are already on the island and want a last look at the exhibition with someone who knows it.
Arquipélago is in Ribeira Grande on São Miguel’s north coast. From Ponta Delgada a car or taxi is the realistic option; the listing gives no transport details.
