Serra do Topo - Caldeira de Santo Cristo - Fajã dos Cubres

The walk most people come to São Jorge for: down from the wind farm on the Serra do Topo to the Caldeira de Santo Cristo, then west along the coast to Fajã dos Cubres. The descent passes the Tia Júlia bridge before the lagoon at Santo Cristo. The last stretch passes Fajã do Belo, abandoned after the 1980 earthquake. Medium, 9.3 km, two and a half hours, from 700 metres to the sea.
