Grande Rota de São Jorge (Oeste)

The western half of the island, and the longer of the two Grandes Rotas: Ponta dos Rosais at the western tip to Fajã dos Cubres, where it meets GR01SJO. Fifty-three kilometres over two stages of about 22 and 30 km, up on the ridge among the volcanic cones and then out along the cliff edges above the fajãs. The register allows fifteen hours and expects a night on the way. Graded hard.
