Adults living in the Azores can anonymously complete a 10-minute online questionnaire on health and digital health literacy until 31 December 2026.

The Regional Secretariat for Health and Social Security, through the Regional Directorate of Health, is promoting a study to assess and monitor health literacy and digital health literacy among adults in the Azores. The study is part of the Regional Programme for the Promotion of Health Literacy and has scientific coordination from the National School of Public Health of NOVA University Lisbon.

It aims to deepen knowledge of how Azoreans access, understand, evaluate and use health-related information. The initiative will characterize health literacy levels across the islands and analyze health promotion, disease prevention and health care.

The study is intended to contribute to the definition and adjustment of future strategies and interventions in this area. The Secretariat said public participation will help identify needs, guide public policies and develop responses better suited to the Azorean population.

Adults living in the Azores can take part by completing an online questionnaire. The questionnaire takes about 10 minutes to complete and participation is anonymous, confidential and voluntary. It will be available until 31 December 2026.
