On Friday 6 November the Sinfonietta de Ponta Delgada, conducted by its principal conductor Amâncio Cabral, plays Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 on Pico. The concert belongs to "9nas9", a project created by Quadrivium, Associação Artística that takes the composer's symphonies to several Azorean islands through artistic residencies and five concerts. Admission is free. With a whole symphony on the programme and nothing to pay, it is worth planning the evening around if you are on Pico or across the channel on Faial; a flight from a distant island for this alone is for devoted listeners.
