Outono Vivo, one of the main literary festivals in the Azores, returns to Praia da Vitória on Terceira from 30 October to 15 November 2026. Around 50 national and regional authors take part, among them Inês Pedrosa, João Tordo, Pedro Chagas Freitas, Maria João Avillez, Miguel Monjardino and Francisco Moita Flores, alongside a book fair with about 100 publishers, 20,000 titles and 40,000 copies. The programme runs from book launches, debates and poetry to concerts and theatre. This edition marks 125 years since the birth of Vitorino Nemésio with exhibitions, readings and performances on his life and work. The talks are for Portuguese readers; the book fair and concerts work for anyone.
