On 14 November the Agrupamento 23, Praia da Vitória scout group of the Corpo Nacional de Escutas holds its second Marralhinha tournament at the group's headquarters in Praia da Vitória, Terceira. Marralhinha is a traditional game, and the evening is open to the whole community. Entry for players is 4 €, and a bar sells petiscos (small savoury bites) and sweets. Registration is by phone with the organisers: 926 682 282 (Lisandra) or 925 347 547 (Susana). Very much a local night out rather than an event put on for visitors.

Practical information

The scout headquarters is in Praia da Vitória, on Terceira's east coast; the listing gives no address, so ask the organisers. From Angra do Heroísmo it is a drive or taxi ride across the island.
