The exhibition "Nocturnos de Angra" organized by the Biblioteca Pública e Arquivo Regional Luís da Silva Ribeiro showcases the work of photographer Rui Poeira. The opening takes place on October 20, 2026, at 18:30 in the Espaço Arte e Debates. This exhibition features 24 photographs highlighting the most emblematic buildings and monuments of Angra do Heroísmo, revealing their nocturnal aspects through geometric lines and selected architectures that showcase unique perspectives hidden from daylight. The photographs invite visitors to stroll between the shadows and moonlight of a city celebrating 50 years of Azorean Autonomy (1976–2026), a process that marks the continuous reinvention of its historical and cultural image in the history of Portugal and the world. The exhibition will be open to the public until January 30, 2027.
The venue is located in Angra do Heroísmo on the island of Terceira, within walking distance from the town center. Public transport is available, and parking options may vary.
