Rafael Costa takes fourth at European Cup in Stade
Azores GuideRafael Costa scored 58.61 points to finish fourth among nine cadet competitors in the Free Skating discipline at the European Cup of Artistic Skating in Stade, Germany.
Tiago Leite won the cadet category with 69.70 points. Joele Primavera finished second and Pablo Vacas third. The competition runs until 24 October.
Clube de Patinagem de Santa Cruz said Costa represented Portugal and the Azores at the competition. The club released the information in a note signed by coach Geraldo Andrade on behalf of the board.
The club congratulated Costa for his performance and recognized the other participants and technical teams for their work. It also thanked the families, Câmara Municipal da Lagoa, Junta de Freguesia de Santa Cruz and Associação de Patinagem de São Miguel for supporting the trip.

Rafael Costa placed fourth out of nine skaters in the cadet free skating event with 58.61 points.
Correio dos Açores reported that he secured his place at the 2026 Cup of Europe after the Portuguese Skating Federation's Artistic Skating Technical-Sports Committee published the list of eligible athletes with places.
