The Veteranos Cup Nordeste 2026 is a one-day football tournament for veteran players at the Campo Municipal do Nordeste on São Miguel, on 8 November. The hosts, the Associação de Veteranos do Nordeste, take on veterans' teams from Maia, Mira Mar and Santa Clara. When the games are over the players stay on for a social gathering and the trophy ceremony. The draw goes out live on the organisers' Facebook page on 2 November at 20:00. This is a local community day rather than a spectator spectacle, but worth a look if you are staying in the northeast of the island.
