Nathalie Afonso's exhibition, "Portugal Mon Amour," features her work in ethnographic painting and illustration, emphasizing the cultural identity and traditions of various peoples, with a special focus on her Portuguese roots. The exhibition will display illustrations already created under the theme of Portuguese identity. Additionally, Afonso will be working in residence, illustrating live in the exhibition space from October 19 to 24, based on a compilation of ethnic costumes from the Azores, curated by João Paulo Constância, director of the Museu Carlos Machado. The exhibition opens on October 16 at 16:00 at the Museu Carlos Machado – Núcleo de Santo André.
The exhibition takes place at the Museu Carlos Machado – Núcleo de Santo André in Ponta Delgada, easily reachable by walking from the town center. Parking may be limited in the area.
