Ophelia-s

"Ophelia-s" is a theatrical performance that delves into the theme of feminine beauty, inspired by Shakespeare's character Ophelia, who met a tragic end by drowning. The play features four contemporary incarnations of women, united by a common force, as they navigate through reflections of water, both on stage and onscreen. This thought-provoking piece challenges the traditional ideals of women as victims and objects of desire, offering a fresh perspective on femininity. The event will take place from October 13 to November 7, 2026, in São Miguel, and is conducted in Portuguese, which may be a consideration for non-Portuguese speakers.
