From Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 November the municipality of Nordeste, at the north-eastern tip of São Miguel, runs Nordeste com Ciência as part of Science Month. The Azores microbial observatory OMIC brings "Micromundos: A Vida que Não Vemos", a set of activities about the life too small to see: symbiosis, an experiment called "Solo: uma casa para micróbios" on soil as a home for microbes, and the module "Lavas bem as mãos?" on handwashing.
