On Sunday 29 November the Arquipélago arts centre's "last Sunday of the month" family session on São Miguel is led by Joana Albuquerque e Sousa. Families use everyday objects and their own bodies as units of measurement, try out different scales and record what they find in drawings. It is aimed at children aged 6 and up with their families. Entry is free but places must be booked by email to arquipelagocentrodeartes@azores.gov.pt before 12:00 on 27 November. Worth it if you are on São Miguel with school-age children and they are comfortable following instructions in Portuguese.
The workshop is on São Miguel and is booked through the Arquipélago arts centre. The listing gives no venue address or start time, so confirm both when you register.

No programme announced yet, but free classical music under a historic church roof is reason enough for a Sunday stop.
