Chão Comum is a project by Nuno Malato and a collective running on São Miguel from 31 October to 8 November. Rather than a show to watch, it is a series of participatory actions in public space that ask residents how they live in, share and build their city, with an emphasis on reuse and sustainability. Everything is free and open to whoever turns up. For a visitor it is more a chance to see local community life at street level than a cultural outing in the usual sense, and it suits someone who is in town anyway rather than worth planning a day around.
On São Miguel, in public space. The listing does not give the exact spots or times for each action, so check the organiser's page.
The actions take place outdoors and the listing says nothing about rain dates; expect changes in bad weather.
