On Friday 6 November the Observatório do Ambiente dos Açores, the science centre of Angra do Heroísmo, runs an astronomical observation session on São Jorge together with the Museu Francisco de Lacerda. It is part of the travelling project "Ciência em Movimento" and is open to anyone interested, children included. Whether it happens depends on the weather. Worth fitting in if you are already on São Jorge; flying in from another island for it in November is a gamble.
